haiz.. today last day before i go for ICT... 2 weeks... kaoz.... nvm lar at least its a break from work and everything else.

haiz... yesterday was quite fun, lemon jam finish liao Q25 jam. after that went to meet lemon @ taka crystal jade restruant~ the food thre is awesome man. bery nice~~ made fun of ying ying and she like "er....?" lolz after that was abt to go to HMV to look @ stuff 1st, KNS rain heavy like siao... in the end Kelvin and i was drenched... the ladies got umbrella eh eh eh~and so sweet of lian neng and ying ying to help me carry my efx. cos its freakin heavy. after that they also took my bass too.. wow~ shiok~ lolz

anyway see u in 2 weeks time... come back from ICT sure to thousand and one things to bitch abt one. lor. lolz

Woooo at last this month is over~

Play on 2008 with Lemon~ done~ and although we have 2% votes (Thanks to the guys to came to support us) its was really fun and solid~ sadly its a popularity competition~ or else Lemon would have really hyped up the crowd.

Woo Hoo got my 1st virgin hair styling experience there~ and seriously i love it!!! really makes me looks much much younger~ and hearing good comments for both bands really got me fired up and wanting to improve both bands' standards~~ real fun and hyped

OMFG~ we were so stressed abt this gig... but in the end it was seriously a bomb... dispite having a bad flu... i ji tao gave my all!!! haha was real fun when i suddenly stepped out for my marunochi solo... i think i heard someone calling my name... ok lar maybe i was hallucinating... lolz but it was real high and for the 1st time hearing a new level of applause... its really very motivating... joking with the crowd (P.R) was real challange... its was really impromptu... dunno wad to say... but yea~ looks like the hard work WkV put in paid off... literally~ hehehe~

man after all these gigging... i totally shagged out... but if there is another gig chance i'll try not to miss it!!! giging is totally fun and enjoyment... sharing with the crowd the music that u play, lifting/pressing the atmosphere... its real cool... gosh... i'm "addicted to that rush" man!!!!!

well but after all i still got to thank Emerson, Cedric for giving us all these opportunities to gig~ really love u guys... (as in friends are~ now my hair back to normal liao no more gay boy liao) lolz...

woo time for my well deserved rest... tomolo still got jamming with lemon...

Gosh its been so long since i last posted anything up here... so BzBzBZBZBzZBzBzzzzzzz

anyway just a recap and reminisce of wad happened... Auditions... its so damn hectic... but well its fun and able to see almost everyone gather @ Lcube trying for a shot @ PBO2...

i was so certain that Weekend will not go in man... but hey looks like i'm wrong~
Lemon side was like woo hoo Ying Ying in panic mode~ damn funny but yet cute sia~

and yar.. i have unexpected took a "student" its more to a sharing session. and well being able to share with someone how to play bass can actually force me to understand how well i know my chops and brush up on areas i might have problems in...

Went out with Devin to get my amp on friday.

Stagg 40W bass amp~ woo hoo~ looks like my old ibanez is going into the cabinet~

talked alot of stuff with Dev, well when 2 bassist get together, its all bass bass bass~

went to makan Soba So Good~ hmm quite nice and super filling~ well shared with him my history and his history~ looks like bassist are all very underappreciated~ lolz well got to live with it yar~

anyway jamming yesterday with Lemon they all was super fun.
and Xiao Hui came to sit in for the session~ damn she was impressed by Lemon's voice and James (as always, tight strokes and constant tempo, damn easy for my bass to follow him) its one of those rare sessions she's actually praising the band instead of flaming them (through me of course)

through the recording xiao hui always criticised the band, but i told her alot of times the recordings are muffled... she must come sit in live then she'll understand~ well i proved her right this time~!!! woo hoo.

after that went to have some drinks with Xinyi James, Peiwen and Devin and yesh~! i was feeling crappy... and seeing leftovers on the table... hmm...

Went to get my blood and urine test report today....

kaoz... the doctor looked so freakin shock when she saw me...

"Mr Lim, i've seen your report, your cholestrol lvl is very low, good... but i see there is very high protein in your urine... you might be diabetic..."

I was like KNNBCCBOMFG... and after eating so much high blood pills... my blood pressure still sky high... well congradulations to me, my dosage of pills have levelled up x2... and i got another tube of blood been drawn from me today... again... the doctor also could not believe that i'm only 24 years old... usually ppl only get all these when they reach like 40 or 50++... oh well... wad to do... anyway maybe i should start writing my will now~ and start praying that the diagnostics lab made a mistake... but damn... i hate taking pills... makes me feel so sickly... ARGH~!!!!!

Well i've been arrowed to get the party wine... hmm wad can i get with 300bucks budget... office only has like less than 50 ppl.... woo hoo!!!

anyway went down to see Skyler Jam today~ it was real fun~ they just like to have Fun and more Fun~

but well, really like Dev alot, i see tons of energy in him sia... not like me... energy going to drain till empty liao...
nowadays i find it hard to rock out... the moment i tried to dance to a beat or headbang a bit, my head goes super dizzy and chest feels real tight and uncomfortable... haiz... how sia, looks like i gonna expire from this world soon sia... but well~ i think the thing thats keeping me alive is the medication bah, well side effects are starting to kick in hard... loss of appittite, dizzy spells and migrains is a everyday often thing now... but well i cant be complaining of all these, its either i suffer all these or i'll get kidney failure or stroke... (that's worst!!)

so sad that my healthy young days are gone...

Went out for Steamboat with Xiao Hui, Xiao Wen, Matthew, Jeeyon, David, Kevin and Virus. so shiok, eat till bloated... jia lat gotta work off those calories!!!
went to Mac Cafe after that, and wow, they got me a present! Perfume Hugo Boss one sia, so happy! the 1st present i got for my birthday... and they remembered. *Gan Dong* oh yar, Xinyi, wished me Happy Birthday... on the 13th May... -_-... duh...

oh well one more year older and can look more like my age liao... stupid Xiao Wen keep calling me Uncle... (will strangle her one day!!! >_<)

Woo hoo Jamming yesterday was fun. it always was lar...

had ppl from Nowplaying sitting in, and finally got to know the bassist from Now Playing offically. lolz (shake hands and stuff) didn't know that he was Malay. till yesterday... damn how ignorant of me... lolz

then soon, Xinyi and Cedric and the rest came. lolz seems like Sunday really is a "gathering" for Jrockers.. lolz. well i thnk all these will continue till after DJ party... well how i wish these would go on even after DJ party... lolz

lolz yesterday Xinyi was really funny, standing beside me talking to me then Peiwen made a comment that she shouldn't stand beside me... (the disadvantages of being too tall) oh well, doesn't really matter~ screwed up on Twinkle Star badly... damn gotta focus and train myself up for that song... rhythm is so damn hard to catch and to play with groove... even harder... (sad tales of being a bassist) playing the correct notes is not enough... still need to consider the groove, the accent... and "feel" (hardest to achieve)... well not as simple as you think...

oh well when for Francis's wedding @ SRC. damn i was late... together with the girls... wad the... damn pai sae lor... oh well nothing much happened. just that i kept teasing them nia... lolz they so funny...

Today, went to try out Anaki Records... ad i'm so happy, its so so so so damn long that i'm able to play with a proper working Bass amp... damn the tone is so nice!!! with my compressor and D.I. the sound produced from the amp is heavenly... high time LCube serviced their bass amp or best change a new one!! lolz i've renewed my membership u know... na bei!

sad thing is the Anaki space is kinda cramp for 6 ppl to squeeze inside... plus the keys is facing the wall... like David kena some detention class like that... so sad... but well can say today was one of the best jamming sessions i've had after so so so long time... although its just drums, bass and piano... the sound was good. Kev told me that the person outside heard us play and commented on our playing and asked if we wanna play @ some Jazz @ Southbridge thing... dunno if i got hear him wrongly... but well if someone commented, its good and i think that we have hope... if ppl dun even bother to comment... well we are really hopeless. lolz.

lately been listening to some soothing music... have uploaded in imeem... ok not really soothing... but very symphonic + string ensemble lar... but steady... well i feel myself very funny sia... play rock, pop blah blah blah... but infact my favourite music are those orchestra/symphonic pieces... well looks like everyone has 2 sides... have been reverting to my softer side more often these days... due to too much stress and my medical condition getting worse... hmm well looks like i should resort to taking high blood medication after all... but 24 yrs old... i still have such a long road ahead of me...

haiz... i now still am praying for wishing for my close friend who's still in a coma to wake up soon... damn... our birthdays are so close to each other... i've made a promise to throw a party to celebrate both our birthdays together... gosh... looking @ his sister cry really saddens me and i've had this very cocked up feeling in my chest... want to just let it all out... well almost shedded a tear... almost... i wouldn't want to lose another friend...

Woot today jamming was damn fun and damn high lar...

all blast till deaf, however, irregardless of all the blasting, the music sounded quite nice. Although bass amp's cone was blown however, managed to make the best out of it, well it lacked punch, but the tone was loud and full. well today was one of the best jamming sessions i've had, thanks to all the hard work put in by all my beloved members of Wk'EnD Vacancy, and well it was damn nice of Viruz to drop by and assist us in recording (although too loud and a bit hard to hear, but thanks dude, i owe you a meal)

well but one thing i really ought to do... change places with Jeeyon... his amp is really making me deaf... after jamming i can still hear my ears ringing... *sob sob sob*

oh well, hope today is not the only day of a very shiok jamming! more and more and more to come!!

KNS!!! no matter how punchy i EQ my bass, it just goes BOOOOMMM BOOOOMMMM!... haiz... i really hate to say this... looks like Lcube is losing it liao... guitarists and all complain the amp spoil spoil, tey change immediately... bass complain, they nod their heads and say "we'll check it out, thanks for letting us know bro" well, its been 1 month of telling them... no improvement... haiz... are bassist so dispensible?

whoa live recordings are damn hard to EQ sia... need to cut/reduce those parts that go over the threshold limit which is some parts just a mirco mini second, but that mirco mini second will cause your speaker to go "piak!!"... cut the bass, boost treble, boost mids, boost bass, cut treble, the list goes on and on and on... knn... damn hard sia... ok lar not really say very hard lar, its just real time consuming...

respect to the sound engineers out there, i feel your pain~!

Jamming today with Kelvin, quite ok... frankly i didn't prep anything... that's a very bad habit... lolz, playing something just by looking at rhythm guitar chords... and on the spot do some stuff for bass... stress...

Went for NTU's Symphonic Band concert @ victoria concert hall... its was really nice, been some time since i attend these kind of concerts. used to attend these concerts in the past... really enjoy and like these kinda music... can really not think of anything and just sit back and relax... real good show to NTU band.

lolz greatest joke of the day, Tim's friends really had a bad impression about me sia, saying i'm "Beng, Act mature" lolz, feels damn funny, i'm in fact quite happy that they think i'm like that, lolz. ok "beng" mainly cos im trying to improve my age and look younger wear contacts, make my hair, wear an ear cuff... lolz ok i admit, smoking is bad, but doesn't mean its "beng" lor, can bet with them, even the good guys smoke lor. lolz.
well "act mature" LOLZ!!! that's the problem... i'm so much more older than them lor, haiz... does it mean for them, people with an age gap cannot hang out together? lolz i really pity them, cos in the future they'll be working with ppl both younger and older than them, if they dun get over it... well that's too bad lar lolz.

Oh my God... I've seen the most Funny Looking bass by Fender... so Cute...

nuf said... lolz.... I want it!!! Damn cute lar... Reviews say that it uses Silicon Strings instead of your normal Metal Strings for basses... and look at the size... it'll look like a toy to me lar....

the tone it produces is warm and full, close to an Upright bass... i think mainly due to the silicon strings... damn... if i bring this little baby to jamming sessions or for gigs.... Best thing... Xiao Hui can play it! lolz

OMG~! tonight i had the most expensive and most delicious dinner i ever had...

Those Kagoshima Officials actually hand carried their local produce from Kagoshima down to this convention to serve us their local food....

Sashimi... and there was no Salmon... its was all Ootoro, Mackeral and all those cool cool stuff that melts in your mouth... wtf!

there was also Shabu Shabu~! damn its was farkin nice lar...

the best is Shochu... with warm water... damn... was i feeling the kick from alcohol... the japanese was like so "on" lor... they were like "Hey Jya Ru Bisuu san(Jarvis) gam bai!" handed me a full glass and we were there glupping down the whole glass of shochu... this went on for 4 times in a row and all of was can't really walk in a straight line after like... 5 mins? damn was it good!

Phew at last Dinner and Dance is over...
all the hard work at planning for this stupid event is finished.

my performance ended... not that bad... 2 ladies willing to go on stage to sing the song with me while i play guitar and sing... gawd... my electric guitar hi E broke the night before... heng we got to go off early to prep for dinner and dance... managed to rush to a nearby music store to get a string and tie it in.

well the dinner was like woo hoo. managed take some photos with some of my female colleagues... they were like, "Jarvis~ can i take photo with you? pls? *blink blink*" i was like KNN!i dun mind if most of them are chio bus, but well... when someone who looks like Abigal wants to take a pic with u... well you can't reject her right...? it suckz to be the "youngest" male employee in the company bah... ^^;

well dinner ended and i've won 3 prizes...

Met up with Matthew yesterday... City hall... I went there eariler, so went to Penisular Plaza.

Damn i didn't knew, Channie worked there for Mastero and Guitar Werkz. Well he let me try out an imitation Stingray Bass. althought i'm not really used to Maple neck... and the neck is thick... but well the sound is good lor... 400 bucks nia leh.... damn felt there was this impulse to buy it.... but CANNOT!!! I need to concentrate on getting my amp 1st.... my current amp going to chui liao lor...

After met Matthew we went to Swee Lee... farkin overpriced music shop... damn i dun really like them... staff there show attitude problems one sia... always is there "hmm he looks rich lor.... go serve him/her surely kena commission!"

Went with Matthew to eat @ Hogs Breath steak house... i think.... wow the steak there is good! and their concept very Texas style... and Cheap too man... Next Time gotta bring Xiao Hui there liaoz.

Man!!!! PBO Rockz man. After knowing what kind of budget and manpower they having, i feel that these guys really organise this event and their spirit is fueled by their passion! cheers to the Organisers of PBO.

The event was great! and I loved it, screwed up a bit for my bass... but well it was fun and its been sometime since I performed on stage. But its wierd, the rest of the band members where like "oh shit oh shit, we are next!!!! argh!!" but these kind of feeling didnt come into my mind... probably more worried to how the crowd will react to Skyler's performance. oh well I have a comment for Skyler, GOOD SHOW GUYS! really proud of them.

Well looks like being M.I.A from the Jrock scene in Singapore took its toll. I saw soooo many familiar faces and they where like, "Oh Shit! Jarvis, I thought you died or something!" well but this event kinda bring together those Jrockers from my time... Jun, Jun Hong, Felix, Cedric, Vincent, Ze Feng, Farhan, Pearl and still got a lot... can't remember liao.... such a nostalgic feeling.

Haiz... saw all those flaming going on between Izumiko and Tim... damn...

In my honest opinion... all these should just stop... I've seen too much of all these similar cases happen throughout my 7 years of music playing in bands and stuff... what a band needs is trust and the most important thing... Being Frank... the best combination I've played before was a previous band (Arc In e Sky) we didn't made it but damn it was fun playing with them! everyone was so tight and we would actually point out mistakes and everything... that was the time i improved on my bass and coordination with bands tremendously.

Weu!!!

Shopping spree today ended me in 100+ SGD broke... but am pretty satisfied with wad i got... hmm looks nice... damn starting to have that obsession with myself... shit...have to stop that...

anyway, my tuner spoilt and my bass strap locker broke... better to break now then to break during gig day itself....

haiz... feel so stress... tomolo got work and stuff to do... sianz... why can't Christmas be an extended holiday...

Jamming Yesterday with erm... TempX.... damn i really need to change the name of the band liao... anyway Tim came down for our jamming session. guess everyone had much fun and laughter. well tried some backing yesteday. damn my voice suckz like hell lar... well nuf' said.

Today gonna go shopping with Xiao Hui liao~! go look for gig clothes.... hmm gotta bear in mind, Formal with a bit of Rocker seh... wth... my wardrobe all very little clothes... sian man. dunno how will today's shopping turn out sia... pretty worried....

Anyway Xinyi's back from japan liao... and 27th jamming... arhhh this week is pretty hectic....

Todays Jamming with Xiao Wen turned out quite well.

Met Ying Ying on the train today on the way to Jamming. and small small world she the keyboardist that i'm gonna session for Kelvin's Band playing covers from nice songs. lolz.

Man.... last night was the night man.

At 1st, LinkoVich wants to go drink kopi and talk cock... suddenly one of them just say

"lets go jam lar, very long didn't jam liao leh..."

in less then 1 hours time we are at a Boon's in Potong Pasir... jamming with no songlist or wadever i gotta respect their impromptu style... well we had tons of fun last night. Brings back memories 5 years ago when we are chionging for Street Fest and alot of gigs... haiz...

later gonna go get some gifts for my christmas exchange gathering with Cheryl and Jeff... budget 10 bucks.... wth dunno wad to get with 10 bucks man....

at in the evening got jamming with TempX... hope Xiao Wen does well.... she my 1st choice other then Daniel... hope they can make up a decision by today whether its Xiao Wen or Daniel to be our long awaited Vox... i'm getting pretty sick and tired of all these auditioning....

Woo Hoo KBox was fun today....

i think i'm starting to get addicted to Kboxing liao... hearing everyone sing song.... so happy. somemore its a place where non proffesionals can just go there and start screaming also. lolz hope to go for another KBox session soon. its damn addictive sia.

I'm under the weather today... nose running like a loose tap... mum told me to take medicene but its makes me drowsy.... probably a cigratte could help stop the running nose...

This friday got to session for Kelvin's band.... i feel so sianz lor...

Sat got nothing, but will be going to david's birthday party... feels so wierd...
my birthday passed me by this year silently....well its also not that bad spending my birthday alone~

Sunday will be trying out Xiao Wen...

Been kinda hooked on to KBox... its quite fun to sing. althoguht my voice is damn low...

Work has been pretty sucky and stressful lately, I feel like I'm overworked and overloaded. with the same pay. My jobscope is now like those bloody service charges $XXX +++
This morning 9am reach office, one voice looms "Jarvis, Meeting!!!". So in the end i only start my real work at 11.30am. After lunch, "Jarvis I need to discuss with you about the project, at 2.30 pm" so its 2.30pm till 6pm, time to knock off, everyone goes home... I'm still in office trying to finish the day's work.... this sucks....

Anyway, pretty sad that Tim left TempX, but i think its for the better lar. Well, really hope that Skyler would do well.
The hope for Benji joining as Guitarist for TempX seems hopeless... oh well, just have to see what's to come next...
